Marquette University - Networking
Marquette University Alumni has joined forces with CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) to deliver a dynamic networking program within the CASE Online Speaker Series. CASE is a large non-profit organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications, and development. There are more than 3,300 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools, in 54 countries, that make up the membership of CASE.
Meg Brzyski Husband, Chief Alumni Relations and Annual Giving Officer - Marquette University, and Lynne Waymon, President of Contacts Count, recently took part in the Online Speaker Series with their program, Building Strong Alumni Communities: How Structured Networking Motivates Alumni. The main topic of discussion was focused on networking alumni through events in order to build stronger bonds, increase connections, and share the benefits of how networking can help create a fuller, more motivated, alumni community - both online and off. Ms. Husband and Ms. Waymon shared information on state-of-the-art tools for leading networking activities at alumni events, designing events as networking opportunities, networking activities that really work, as well as many other valuable insights.
The programs offered through the CASE Online Speaker Series are live and interactive. Audio is delivered over the telephone, and visual information is delivered through the Internet. The Online Speaker Series has a directory of events that not only detail upcoming events, but past events as well. In addition, past events are available for purchase on CD to anyone who missed a topic they are interested in learning more about. All of the topics offered are focused on various areas that alumni advancement professionals are interested in increasing their knowledge base on.
Marquette University has long recognized the value of networking within their alumni association. This networking has increased alumni motivation, participation, interest, excitement, and connectedness for all involved. Marquette University's Meg Brzyski Husband, along with Lynne Waymon, is sharing information for all colleges and universities to take advantage of via the CASE Online Speaker Series. This is an excellent way to bring more colleges and universities the information they need to establish and broaden networking within their own alumni associations.
